Upper control arm replacement

What's the difficulty to replace upper control arms? I've got a small clunk issue at low speeds going over b's in the road. I've ordered the new control arms. And just wondering if I should bother replacing myself or paying shop 150$ a side.

The passenger side is easy enough, the driver side is more of a pain. After you take the wheel off it's literally three bolts per side... one ball joint and two mounts

Ok. Just making sure it's an overall standard procedure.

easiest of any the control arms that need replacing. best to mark the oem ones and replace within that same line.

I'm not sure what you mean here... are you talking about the fasteners? They're not eccentric so they are unrelated to alignment.

Before you replace the entire control arm you might want to check to see if it's just the ball joints. Replacing the upper ball joints costs less than $50 and is a 30-min DIY job (per side).

It is just the ball joints. I figured for 87$ a pair for the arms + ball joints that I would replace the whole piece
