Odometer/AC fuse
Can anyone confirm that only the AC/heater unit and odometer run off the same fuse?
I keep blowing the fuse (brown 7.5mp) only a couple of miles of driving (3rd one in 5 days) and the odometer and AC shut down. Another funny thing is the automatic window for the front passenger doesn't work unless I bang around on the drive side control, assuming a lose wire, but would anyone know if they can be related or what areas to check for the cause of the blown fuse.

No, but replacing the AC control unit stopped the fuse from blowing. However while it was working for a while, the thumping noise is coming back and the passenger side vents are sometimes going into default defrost mode. That happened a bit before the fuse starting going out and taking the AC and Odometer cluster with it. I may have another bad motor that is going past the limit. But no fuse has blown yet with the new AC control unit.

so I got to the bottom of it with a bit of help from a local specialist. One of the a/c temp sensors (I believe the one by the steering wheel) was not working. They removed it and it’s stopped shorting. Hasn’t done so in 1,000 miles. Wouldn’t do 1 before without blowing. So happy that was it!
