E55 stock-appearing aftermarket wheel recommendations?
Bottom line up front:
Any recommendations on replacement wheels that match the appearance of the stock rims? Same diameter, same width, same offset, double-spoke appearance. I'm am trying to avoid the cheap cast wheels which are heavy and subject to fracture if hitting a pothole. I need to order this weekend.
You guys would not believe how screwed up my morning has been…it started with a “thump”…flat tire on the busiest section of freeway during rush hour, rim cracked, tire trashed so now it is an entirely new set of wheels and tires instead of a patch, and the pièce de résistance: while lost and trying to find my way back to the freeway I received a $202 ticket for going the wrong way on a one-way street …![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
I planned to take the '05 offline this weekend to perform the following: replace all four corner air bags with Arnotts and install KMac bushings on all four corners. Now it looks like I'll need wheels and tires...
