Dash really reminds me of the Jaguar XJ models, probably has a lot to do with the large amount of wood on the passenger side and the area around the shifter which is shaped and padded the same way as the XJ.
Its a good looking car though...not sure I like it more then the E.

The high beltline is reminiscent of the Bangle BMW designs, but it has a nice clean look. I'd be interested to know if there will be an AMG version with a V8 Kompressor.

I think it is gorgeous...the flowing lines are much sportier than the current E IMO. If there's a V8 Kompressor model I think I'm in. Just have to wait and see.

I agree with jkrutch. I like the exterior styling a lot. It adds a distinctly different look to the Mercedes lineup. The wheels match nicely too. I don't care for the interior very much. Maybe cause I've got such a nice interior now and my standards have been raised. Not sure I like flow of that wood and there's something about it that isn't pleasing to my eye when contrast with the cream colored interior. Maybe a different color combination would work. I know a lot of you feel this is a mistake, but Mercedes has given us a great looking lineup of cars with power and amenities galore. I think we need to see this car up close before we jump to the conclusion that they've rolled a gutter ball on this one. I myself don't mind it being posted here. All of us Mercedes owners like to keep up on the latest things being introduced.
