New potential Mercedes owner
Hello everyone I have a few questions regarding the E55 which I am highly interested in, and any help would be great.
Firstly I want the E55 as my friend has the S55 and I think that car is great but I don't want the same car as him and I prefer the look of the first gen 63's so I can have both with the 55 with a few mods.
1. Does the E55 have ABC or airmatic, I know that ABC is expensive when it breaks.
2. Is it possible to retrofit the 2009 E class navigation into the E55?
3. Is it push to start?
4. Overall reliability, compared to say an E60 M5( I know these cars try to kill themselves but they are addictive)
Any help would be appreciated.

E class as airmatic not ABC. It still failed but easier/cheaper to work on. Replace with coil overs for a worry free experience.
You can retrofit Command 2.5 IIRC.
Some are push start some are not.
I had a E60 for a year. Amazing car but a nightmare (SMG issues, electrical grimlins, rattled, etc). I did a calculation a while back ago and the M5 over 6 months came out to $19 a day in repairs/maintenance and the E55 around .40 cents a day. Both similar miles and driving style.
Small differences between 03/04 and 05/06.
A simple search using basic words will broaden your search results.
