What are you using to clean the supercharger and engine covers?

My car arrives today, first thing I would like to do to it is give the engine a real good cleaning. The engine is actually very clean in general, but there is some grease built up in the squares in the casting on top of the supercharger, and a small bit of discoloration in the engine cover and the pieces that say AMG (what are they, by the way) on the top of the engine. Appearance tips, products and procedures would be appreciated.

I used a steel brush on the supercharger to clean off the deposits and quite a bit of shop towels and de-greaser to get off anything else. I would not advise sticking a pressure washer in the engine bay, way to many air lines and electrical components in there not designed for 2000PSI water intrusion.

Be easy on the plastic bits, the air lines are brittle and don't like being moved around. Work slowly and carefully.

2000psi is not enough for tough baked on grease. I use minimum 3200psi hot pressure washer, i can crank it up to 4500 if needed, the gentle garden hose afterwards helps to sort of "flood" all the tight spots like by the injectors and the bigger debris just kind of floats on out.
