Low Battery conv functions unavailable
Hi guys , i know this has been discussed many times but what do you think .. ?
I have a good main battery and just put in a brand new aux battery that i was getting a red message for .
red battery went away, but on cold starts i do get the message " low battery conv functions unavailable" .. 2 min pass and functions become available and i do not get the message any more.
then after an hour or so when i go back to the car, start it , and i get the message again ..
I drove about 30 miles on the new aux battery ..
do you think i should drive more first to see if it charges up good , or go ahead and try to replace a battery control module ..
thx in advance

how long is your car parked for each time ? these cars drain a lot of battery. plug in a charger when you are not using it.
im in the same boat as you. I replace both batteries but it still does that. the colder the weather is the faster it drains.
I always drive around the block on really cold nights to make sure it starts the next morning.

It does not die thx god .
It starts every morning fine , past few days in the mornings starts good also, considering we had 15-20F temperatures at night .
If lets say i get out and go get take out, 10 min later when i come back and start it , message pops up .. 2 min later message goes away..
Im rly leaning towards BCM , looks original to me also ..

My batteries are both new and so is my alternator.
These cars just drain battery.. fast.
This happens to me as well on really cold mornings. Goes away after 10 seconds.

Replaced mine with OEM battery from the dealer last year. ($160) No more issues, even with temps in the single digits and sitting for weeks.
