why do the SL65 et 30 et 31 wheels have an A171 code?
The SL65 wheels that i have has a A211 code and a A171 code on the back
of the wheel, why do these wheels have both codes? these wheels have offset ET30 and ET31 but I thought a A171 code is for the SLK series and the SLK didnt have offsets of 30 and 31.....
anyone know about this?

I have a set of sl wheels. The 19'' 2 piece style IV wheels that everybody call "sl65" wheel was made for E, CLS, SL and atleast SLK. Its the et and size that was the difference. The 65 wheels always had the graphite face on them, of course many have allredy been painted silver and what not. Im not 100% sure but 30 and 31 are E class standard et? Also the E wheels always have the 211 and 171 codes on them.
My wheels are 25 and 28ET and have only 230 code. Have them off the car now as im geting them done soon.

thanks for the detailed reply, i appreciate it, so why does the SL65 wheels for the the E have both a A211 and a A171 code on it....my understanding is the 171 codes means its for the SLK series but the SLK series never had et 30 and et31 for their wheels so why is there a A171 and A211 code on the back of the SL65 wheels?
