For those of you who have removed airmatic from the cars, have you removed the suspension buttons behind the shifter? Was looking for a place to install my Radar detector mute button and some power buttons for some other stuff I have in the car.

Can I remove the button module without triggering any alarms?

I have left mine in. They even still light up, but have no function once the system is coded out.

I have coilovers and removed the airmatic buttons piece in the shifter assembly.

I have parking sensors so I found a non-airmatic with parking sensor buttons piece on eBay.

Was a 5 minute swap, just lift the shifter surround, unscrew the airmatic part and screw in the airmatic-less part.

The last trace of the airmatic junk in the car is now gone =)

No parking sensors here so I swapped the whole plate, from one I found on ebay.de, it's is a 2 minutes job and no coding or errors:
