If your tires are wearing so fast you only expect to get a few thousand miles out of them and you are apprehensive about driving over 50 mph in the rain...figure the ball joints and/or bushings are bad.

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. I now expect to fully rebuild my W211 front suspension every 80,000 miles whether I think it needs it or not...hard lesson learned the first time. I'm not going to let it get to that point again. FWIW, it was at 90,000 miles the handling of my car became dangerous.
Mine is due again, only this time i'm going to have to do the steering rack too. the ends have a rattle in them and it's in the rack itself. I only seem to get about 40k out of the thrust arm ball joints. Going to try a different brand this time.

When replacing the thrust arm can it be done while still loaded? (Wheel / tires sitting on the ground - or in my case sitting on a raised 4 post lift)?

E280 S211 2007
Question 're parts

Hi all
I'm new to this forum but I do have a question about Lemforder thrust arms. Nice post btw. I saw your part numbers and I want to replace my thrust arms. I spoke to Merc who said that my thrust arms are part number a2113304911 and a2113305011. So I went off to find direct lemforder replacement. Does anyone know which ones I need as I have googled and googled and really can't find the replacement parts. Meyele on the other hand comes up straight away and I was about to hit the order button but something inside is telling me to pay the little bit more and go for Lemforder... for what's it's worth l, I have a E280 S211 (estate) 2007.

Thanks mo
