2008 E63 engine noise

How's it going everyone. Recently after hitting 71,000 miles, AMG has been very moody with me all of a sudden. The transmission stopped shifting and stays in 2nd. I figured it was the conductor plate, but there are no codes in the computer. I already changed the tranny fluid and am in the process of changing the conductor plate and valve body. Crossing my fingers it will fix the issue. REALLY hope this isn't a more serious mechanical issue in need of a tranny replacement. But this is more of a rant than a question.

My question is there has always been this weird noise on cold start ups. That is starting to raise my concern, seeing that the 6.2L has head bold related issues. There are 2 different noises that are kind of bugging me. One is a very fast cricket like sound. Kind of like a card hitting some bike spokes. the other is a slower tick tick tick. I am attaching a video of the car with the oil temps at 24C. Am I being paranoid, or does my engine sound sick? I really loved driving this car for the past 2 and a half years, but I don't want this to turn into a nightmare.

apparently its the injectors, and just an update the non shifting issue with the tranny ended up being just the conductor plate thankfully.

My car was making a loud ticking sound from time to time so I took it in to MB last week. Got a call from my SA telling me they need to replace the lifters and the camshafts. Im gunna opt for black series lifters and headbolts while the engine is apart. Thank god for my warranty.

May I ask how many miles on your E63? Also please follow up with photos of the head bolts and cam pieces. Thanks

To me sounds like my 2014 e63s engine with 11,000 miles, would venture to say sounds normal but could sound different in person... Take it in

I just ticked over 80k miles. The head bolts are actually 100% fine in my case but just for piece of mind I'm having them replaced. Should definitely help with resale price down the road.

I'll ask my tech/SA to snap some pictures of the damage.
