Keyless Entry Primary door reprogram
I did some searches inside the w211 forum on the title and didn't see this. My issue is that the keyless entry doesn't work on the primary door. It works elsewhere. The fob works. The locks work. A mechanic at the dealer said it needed to be reprogrammed and to do a search on reprogram primary door, but I've had no luck. Anyone familiar with this?

There are a number of discussions about this already.
The best thing to do is to use a DAS to check if the buttons/handle switches are detected in DAS.
If you do not have access to a MBSTAR/DAS, the best thing to do is remove the handle and measure the resistance across the connector pins. You should see ~300 Ohms and 475 ohms if you pull on the handle or pressing the lock button.
If you don't see these resistances, then most likely your handle is bad. It is a common issue that the drivers door will be the first one to fail since it is used most often. No programming is required. I fixed mine in the thread below:
