Changed control arms, now steering wheel off. Normal?

A few weeks ago I changed out the thrust arms and ball joints. The steering wheel remained centered. Yesterday I changed out the actual control arms and the steering wheel shifted to about the 1'o clock position with the wheels pointed forward. Is that normal? I have an appointment to have it aligned on Wednesday. Also, have new wheels coming that week. Should I have it aligned with OEM wheels then throw on the aftermarket ones or throw on the aftermarket ones and go to a top notch alignment shop?

Thanks

The camber probably changed slightly which will change your toe and cause the steering wheel to be off center. Alignment is always required after lower control arms. Also the control arm to the subframe is to be tightened once on the ground.

Gotcha. I'll throw it on a drive on lift and loosen and retighten. Searched and searched but couldn't find anything on the control arms and not the thrust arms.

It doesn't matter which wheels you align it with

Different wheel offset/width can change many alignment angles.

Not enough to make any sort of difference.
