E55 AMG Knock
went to couple mechanics im getting more and more different answers thought id join the fourm and have you guys hear what is going on, im an import type of guy but was always inlove with the e55 AMGs so i picked one up ... issues that came 2 days into owning the car..
-water pump blew = replaced it with a new one from mb
-found sludge in oil = condensation .. just did 4 oil changes
- oil only had about 4-5 L < when drain from previous owner
-coolant is being burnt out of the exhaust = sweet smell out of the exhaust a bit of white smoke not to much>? loosing coolant ? no leaks just painted garage floor not a single drop (hg) maybe?
- after all this i hear a knock and im shocked.. engines idles smooth i know these engines are loud buddy of mine owns one beats on it... i own a r32 gtr known for there knocks this knock is ab normal only happens on load , or when idles at 2000 - 4000 rpm

let me know your thoughts and what i should do ... already got quoted 10-16k for a full engine rebuild honestly do not see it worth it unless im keeping the car and go all out .. cannot find a single parts car through out Canada for a new engine.

Do a leakdown test to check the fitness of the engine and help isolate the bank with issues.
