Visit that Facebook page and read the reviews on his TCU tune. I almost pulled the trigger before I did. The long and the short of it is, many people are unhappy with it and have removed it from their cars. It's your car, do whatever you see fit but I thought I'd pass along my research to you.

In light of this, I have a TCU for sale. PM me if interested.

The onus is on everyone to do their due diligence in purchasing what performance parts and from which vendor. Please understand WHY folks have removed it before spreading discouraging comments. Most folks using the DMT TCU are crazy about it.

I had a TCU tune, and then my transmission started chewing itself apart less than a year later. I went back to stock, but the damage was done and eventually I needed a new transmission.
There's a reason MB has torque limits on the transmission. Add in a higher output modified engine, and transmission is under a lot of stress.

People seem perfectly happy to mod their engines for much larger numbers in both power and torque. This will increase wear on the transmission regardless, but yes if torque limiters are removed then there is always a risk. Welcome to modding cars

What symptoms were you getting when your transmission started going?

I have one for sale that I bought from him as an impulse group buy and never installed. $300 shipped in continental US. I didn't install because I've decided to keep stock since i don't plan on racing or drifting, plus my car still has 2 years of warranty. PM me
