Blowing white smoke (video)
Hi all
Took my CL55 for a 100 mile drive back yesterday. All good no issues.
This morning, started it to do some wiring stuff, turned it off etc. When I finished up, I noticed a large amount of water on the floor to the back of the car.
Started it up outside and am greeted with this:
Not quite sure whats happened. The smoke is mostly white, doesn't smell of oil. Possibly of fuel. The popping of the exhaust is also a new one, hasn't happened before!
Recent work includes removing the supercharger and re-installing it. I also moved my water/meth injection nozzles to here:
There appears to be no leaks, inlet or otherwise.
I am wondering if the MAP sensor has decided it wants to die, and that is screwing up my fuelling. Map readings seem OK though.

I have about -9.7 ish at idle and it fluctates to around -10.02psi at 2500 rpm.
It does blow the smoke under load in gear, but its darker and not as much.

I think its the IC in the supercharger leaking coolant into the inlet.
I have a split cooling system and its header tank was empty. Bit odd, as I had just filled it up.
Filled it up again, ran it for 15 minutes with the charge pump actuated. It dropped about 5mm in my small header tank.
There is also physical water droplets condensing on my exhaust tips.
Will try and do a compression test at some point soon. The engine coolant tank hasn't dropped, oil cap has no mayo on it, and oil still looks gold.

Check valve, but since the smoking started, I removed the water injection tube to check it wasn't flowing all the time. I have disconnected the controller for now to eliminate water going in at idle as the cause.
I have lots of oil sat on top of my valves when they are closed:
and this:
I think Im going to pull the heads.

problem is, ill pull the heads, find the rings and bores are scored, then will need to replace the engine I think.

Make sure your engine oil isn't over filled inadvertently. And disconnect the pcv lines at the valve covers that's the only oil would be able to get behind your valves like that if assuming your engine is mechanically ok.

I disconnected the 2 rubber pipes going into the tanks on the top of the rockers, no smoke coming out of them at all at idle.

Mines a CL55, with the dipstick included.
I post engine faults in here, as the 211 forums have many more views, and they are the same engine.

You should still check compression.

Not done one yet. My compression tester keeps leaking at the spark plug seat.
Not missing until my last test drive, suspect it fouled up the plugs. It's back to normal now. Will idle all day happily. Both breathers are clear.
