Just bought an E 55 AMG at auction
The other day I bought a 02 E 55 AMG sedan at an auction. There were no owner's manuals in the car, just a CD for the nav system. Does anyone know if there is an online manual for this car? I've never owned a Mercedes before and am totally ignorant on how the accessories work. (I just now discovered where the key was.)
Thanks
Thanks

I paid just under 30k but it needs a little work. The drivers mirror is cracked and I'm looking for a replacement. Also the rear tires are pretty worn. I guess the former owner must have burned a lot of rubber as the car has only 16k on the clock.

ONline manual
If you register on mbusa.com as an owner, there is a section with FAQs and the online manual (PDF).

Congrats!
Go to a MB dealer and have the VIN checked out for past services or warranty work. ...all the records should be in the MB data base. You should still be able to get free maintenance for the remainder of the 50k/4-year warranty.

Congrats on your new car. If the minor work you mentioned is all that is wrong with the car you got a great deal. Welcome.

E 63S Wagon Renntech, E55 Renntech, SL65, SL 55 030, ML, bunch of old ones--they come, they go...
Books, manuals, pouch, keys....
are all available at your MB retailer. A full set of books and a pouch for that car will run you about $70-80. Keys as you probably already know are seriously expensive. But you'll need to get all this together, and get your dealer to run you a Master Vehicle inquiry. If you're lucky, you can find where it was sold/serviced, and perhaps send your books out to get updated. Hope this helps.

And oh BTW, if you haven't already...
you better run a Carfax or Autocheck report and see if you've got any issues. Lots of cars that show up under these circumstances have issues....better to know now.
