Dyno Today - Post Mods

Fellas,

I was at the dyno shop today for a 2nd visit. There will be a 3rd with more comparisons...

4/29 Pull - 438/524 (original mods)
6/28 Pull - 486/537 (new mods/box tune)

Future Pull will be post Killer Chiller install then I will cool it down, apply custom tune and compare and contrast progress.

Original Mods on 4/29 pull (Baseline):
168 pulley, headers, box tune, Mez Pump, Fabtech H/E and Engine Bay Tank

New/Additional Mods on 6/28 Pull (includes all mods listed above on "Baseline"):

84MM S/C Pulley, Belt Wrap Kit, 82MM TB, 550 injectors, 1-step colder plugs, VRP aluminum intake, c63 mufflers and resonator, TCU and new "box" tune (Eurocharged)

Note, 1st pull today was 480/527 with limited cool off period from when I arrived. 2nd pull was about a 45 minute cool down with Ice on the S/C and serge tanks, and I put ice in Engine Bay tank. Huge difference in the #'s (Air/Fuel Ratio, etc.) and it pulled much better through the top end.

I will report back after the custom tune and KC install. Again, the plan is to do a pull with the KC then a pull with the custom tune to compare/contrast the different scenarios...

TK

60whp seems pretty solid for the mods.

It feels good (lots of torque) but surprisingly it doesn't "feel" that much faster (if this makes any sense)...

I did a comparison on a few cars months back. One ran something like a 10.80 and the other ran an 11.6x. The comparison showed that the 10.8 car was a few 10th's faster at every point of the run (330', 1/8th mile, 1000', etc.). The key point is it is difficult to really "feel" a few 10th's here and there. It just happens...

Lol know exactly what you mean. I went thru the same thing of it doesn't feel that much faster when you have picked up 50whp.. I didn't even believe the dyno.. However when I actually went an ran another car on the street that should have munched me and I was on his rear quarter, I was then convinced OK this thing has definitely picked up some...

Don't leave me hanging like that. Details on the run, please!

Also, dyno's are always suspect.

438 RWHP E55 (lightly modded) does pretty well against a 707 HP Mopar (662 RWHP at the dyno that day).

Dig into this thread for the proof - video action...

Yowzer can't believe you kept up with the 700 HP monster.. That's amazing.. Be interesting for a re-run with your latest mods hehe.. I got no video of my run, was with an SL65 from a traffic light. My tyres are so shot and just stock standard tyres.. But still kept with him to about 70mph... Then we both had to slow down. I was surprised though. Ps I think your exhaust sounds like mine haha
