Yullie, Agreed. Even though AMG on the PL recommended a 5W-40, it was for their own selfish purpose to extend catalytic converter life. The 0W-40 has more wear inhibitors. And that is what they use when maintaining the vehicles during AMG academy.

the AMG spec oil is probably Castrol made in belgium
