2007 E63 mods help...

I am new here, recently bought a 2007 E63 with one owner (old physician), I don't believe anything has been done to it, I mean everything is stock. But I have a few mods questions to ask. Thanks in advance. (Apologize on the crappy iPhone photo)

I am planning to delete the resonator (putting 2 straight pipes down), and deleting secondary cats by the H pipe (replacing with X pipe), probably getting 2 mufflers as well. All will be fabricated at local mufflers shop (very knowledgeable owner).
My 1st question is, if I get new mufflers (what y'all recommend?), and where can I find AMG OEM tips? (to me, it's AMG signature pieces, and the shop is able to cut the ones on my E63 and work them back on the new mufflers). I guess i am just looking for an alternative.

2nd, I've spoke/email with TunerWerks, as i was told, if I don't to do any exhaust work, I should have the ECU custom tuned first. Any other places do you guys recommend? I am also looking at Weistec, Eurocharged? I saw some AMG Facebook group members does the none-custom tunes from different members on there, not sure I want that. Isn't custom tune better for the car?

3rd, What else shall I do (I heard the carbon filter should be replaced)? I do not want to go all crazy.

Any input are greatly appreciate it...

Long tubes should help in every way. I would not replace those awesome sounding 63 mufflers

Agreed. Any exhaust work should be forward of the resonator. Long tube headers, X-pipe, high flow cats (or cat delete) will give you better performance and better sound. Messing with the mufflers and resonator will only change the sound without helping performance.

The secondary cats will be deleted and the H pipe will be replaced by the x pipe.

What do y'all think of Tunerwerks custom tune on ECU?

Not familiar with Tunerwerks here in the UK, but Eurocharged are the recognised leaders in tuning AMG's in my opinion.
A Eurocharge remap should give you circa 520/525 bhp + more with headers and exhaust work.
Also, please don't remove the 63 mufflers. The only others I'd consider would be Eisenmann or Meisterschaft and I don't believe either would sound better.

Just my opinion of course.

All you really can do is tune, headers, intake.. Remember More air IN more air OUT = More Horsepower..

Order AFE air filters. Remove the restrictive carbon filters and OEM air filter. Now install your new AFE filters.

Sure, Exhaust is one of great mod. with W211 E63,

also; 7G- gearbox upgrade with TCU tune is soo Effective, will gives more & quick shift point,

and that will helps to unleash the hidden power..!
