Ordered Shardul's Intake Set-Up
Just ordered Shardul's set up. Check it out:
Intake spacer and filter kit. it optimizes the stock airbox by raising the filters and removing the restriction."
Shardul, what other benefits should I expect? I am buying this somewhat blind (hated the aluminum set-up). You use it so it must be good!
Should go on next week.

It will do nothing. You won't see a difference. Example, a member here who makes a lot of power, completely removed his intake at the throttle body, and picked up like 5whp.

LoL, sorry that sounded funny.
Oh and GL to the OP! Sounds and looks logical

Someone local to me. That guy picked up 8whp, someone here picked up 5. You get the point.

Additional HP (or airflow) would be a nice benefit but the major reason for purchase was getting rid of 80"x12" of additional radiant heat surface. I was an immediate fan when he pulled the 8A Cat on top! Whatever Shardul has I want and doing this In the TX heat he must me in to something.

Yeah likewise. The pics dont show a lot, I'd be primarily interested in seeing how the completed install looks and sounds (both under bonnet and at WOT). If it gets close to pulling an extra 8-10 horses then we'll know it is also as efficient as can be built...

I have these spacers installed on my E55, I didn't immediately notice anything other than hearing the S/C whining louder which was nice, but after driving the car around for about 100 miles and opening it up on a road trip to Austin, TX I noticed a few differences.
I mainly noticed the better city mpg and smoother throttle response. I also noticed the car pulling harder after 100mph. There is a Local E55 that has identical mod's as I do and when we raced before installing these we were dead even almost every single time. After installing these spacers and that being the only modification done I would pull on him on the top end.

Haha yep.
There was a 20hp gain from standard to no filters in that other thread. So the gain from this will be less than that.
It's almost in the margin of error stuff. At 500hp +/- 5hp is 1% which could be down to dyno/temp/other variances. To be honest, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between 500 and 505hp on the road.
@450 USD for that intake its firmly in the more money than sense product category.
I have done the big gain mods to my car to get the most bang for buck. Spending any more on my car for more power is throwing money away in my opinion as I could just save that cash to upgrade to a faster platform.

Actual dyno test has been conducted on this intake setup on a similar car (albeit different engine, same intake setup). 18rwhp and 26rwtq

Here is all I know:
1) I have seen countless "Hellcat vs the World" video's (including runs with "Tuned TT E63's and F10 M5's) where (you guessed) the Hellcar is faster.
2) When I got back in the E55 game I set-out HOPING my car would run (not necessarily beat, but be respectable) with a stock Cat or 662 GT500 from a roll after mods.
3) The ONLY video evidence I have EVER seen of an E55 doing this (actually pulling on top) is a car with this set-up...
We shall see on the results...
