My car has 105K currently. It's not high mileage consider 2006. If you see any with 110K to 140K means need rebuild tranny soon.

The trans in these cars are solid when well taken care of. Mine is an 06 fluid changed every 40k. Lasted 151k miles with quite a lot of back to back passes at the strip and about 40k miles at 480whp. It started slipping and i found shavings.
Opened her up and rebuilt it and was impressed to see only 1 clutch pack (K2) was smoked. Changed everything anyways while in there.
Did an OEM rebuild. Some of the part numbers that came in my October 05 built car have been replaced .
Its been 10k miles since then and running strong. Check the fluid to make sure there is enough in there after the service and allow it ample time to cool down after spirited driving before shutting it off. Like all transmissions, heat is its worst enemy. Might consider adding an auxiliary cooler.

The proper ATF is critical for long life. Fuchs 4134 is pricey, but I always replace it every 15K. The improvement in performance over the original 134 ATF was astonishing. My E55, at about 70k miles, is used as an autobahn cruiser
punctuated with brief demonstrations of brute power or an occasional run around the Nordschleife. To date there has been no discernible deterioration in performance.
