Urgent. 2005 E55 AMG Rear SAM problems? Maybe...
After a battery change this car started all kind of problems that pointed to the rear SAM. I cannot figure out if the SAM is failing or if could be something else.
The trunk won't latch unless fingered manually from underneath.
The right rear tail lamp stays lit even with the car shut down. Even with the lights on all the lamps work in the rear but the car still shows errors on all 4 bulb systems on the right rear.
The alarm doesn't work, probably due to the trunk latch.
Any and help will be appreciated. I have searched the archives and could not find anything related to this specific issue.

if you have someone with a STAR/DAS/Xentry they could scan all modules for faults.
