What holds this panel

I got a little to close to a curb and now the drivers side does this. I pushed it back and it stays until I drive again. I assume there is a clip or something that holds it?

Will it be blatantly obvious when I take it apart or what will I most likely need?

Thanks!

Yeah, I need to wash it.

there is a metal bracket that you hook up and slide it towards the back of the car to fasten the bumper.

OK, so, when I pull off the bottom panel, most likely that bracket is just sitting there and I can re-attach.

Thanks!

yes and you will need a screw that goes on the end of the bracket

google DIY E55 bumper removal

It looks like you may have broken off the little ear that the metal bracket grabs in order to hold the bumper. You may need to get a little creative an put in a screw to hold it flush.

It will make more sense once you get the tire off and remove the front wheel well liner.
