To all who have the Torque PRO Android APP.
Good day all,
Sorry for posting in this forum, its just you E55 guys seem a little more active than the CLS forum
My question is, for those of you with the Torque PRO app, what boost are you achieving in your stock form or with the Super charger clutched pulley installed with reading of boost calculation method with (MAP) Default) selected in your Torque app settings. Eg, 0.4 or 0.6 bar? etc. Also if you could state your elevation that you did this check at.
TIA

I guess that app not as popular as I thought. Anyway the reason for me asking is to check what actual boost is from stock cars at sea level versus what I am getting up at 5000' elevation and then what is achieved by guys with the supercharger pulley installed. I have been reading articles saying stock boost is. 11.6psi. i think that figure is a Little high. Probably more in the region of 9psi. (0.6bar) well stock my car only managed 0.4 bar (6psi) up at 5000' according to this app. After the mods belt wrap kit supercharger pulley. The. Boost increased to 0.5bar (7.2psi) so trying to figure out what my loss in boost pressure is up here.

Cool, it's amazing how cheap that app is and gives you so much information.

That's what I use as well. Works great. I don't recall what the free version offers, however the paid version most certainly has boost pressure and IAT. The only thing it can't get is the air fuel ratio. Such a bummer.

I am using the ELM327 and Torque Pro app. Car is totally stock aside from a pair of K&N's, S55 driver side tube, PLM Heat Exchanger. The app will show that I hit 11 psi at wide open throttle.

Really? I had heard some of them were unreliable. This is the one that seems to be working the best ,according the the research I did anyway, and is the one I purchased.

Yeah that ELM327 is the same one I have had for about 3 years. Works a treat
When you say it's not working what's it actually doing or not doing? What phone you using? Does it at least show up when you scan your blue tooth? Is it not pairing? Not showing sensors etc.

Before pulley but after cats removed, 11.7 psi
After pulley 13.6 psi
At sea level, maybe a few meters above.
Bluetooth elm with torque pro works quite well.

Did a bit of searching around for you, and this seems quite decent. It's called Dashcommand. https://itunes.apple.com/za/app/dash...321293183?mt=8
Just be advised you need to get a wifi obd scanner to work with I-phone. Some bluetooth restrictions it seems with i-phones.

Cheers bud that's exactly the gen. I was looking for. Nice so you gained 1.9psi at sea level with the upper pulley. I gained about 1.4psi up at 5k. So sounds about right

This place is a joke.
I use the TORQUE app, showing 11.8psi @ 87F with my mods below. IAT's city stop and go = 20-25F over ambient, highway = 10F over, and lowest I ever saw was hwy cruising in a misting rain..5F over ambient

It's a little messy and complicated ...
For Android - only bluetooth OBD 2 dongles can work. Wifi does not as far as I can find. I believe BT is bandwidth limited and so cannot really log in real time.
For iPhone - BT only works if iPhone is jailbroken.
For iPhone with Wifi - Wifi works but not on all ELM327 adapters, the key is finding which one works. Dashcommand appears to be pickier than other apps. I could not get my Dashcommand to work with my cheapo chinese adapter but app called OBDScanner could communicate but it's not a very good app.
Besides the PLX adapter if someone has another recommendation for a Wifi adapter that works with Dashcommand or Rev, that would be nice.

Hey everyone. Just read up on this a little bit and was hoping for some clarification. I have an android based phone. What is the difference with the Kiwi Bluetooth Wireless adapter and the ELM327? Is there any differences in terms of features and functionality. They all seem to use the same app, just wondering if there is a benefit to having the Kiwi, i.e stores more data, etc.. or does the software do all that?
Sorry for the confusion, I just noticed that there is a pretty significant price difference between the two items and wondered which one made more sense. Many thanks in advance to replies.
