Low coolant warning

Low coolant warning
Anybody experience in the Low coolant warning but my coolant tank still has good level of coolant ? No dripping at all... just the warning message and after restart the car the msg disappear. Anybody with the experience ? thanks !

Yes I currently have that warning. Coolant level is fine and I replaced the sensor. A mystery...

I hope it's only the sensor... how much cost you to replace the sensor ?

Like 13 bucks. I have come across material suggesting the washer fluid sensor may be linked with that sensor. Not 100% sure of the truth in that.

You can also make sure your fan is plugged in correctly. If the fan is unplugged you'll get a coolant warning also. Otherwise, my money is on the sensor as well.

What is the specific warning message you are seeing? Are you seeing the message in the link provided below? If so then as someone mentioned it could be your radiator fan plug .. mine corroded pretty badly on my E55 for some reason. On my CDI, the fan quit working.

I think my warning msg is different... It shows about low level coolant.
The msg disappear so will take a pix next time when happen. Thanks !

If your coolant level is at the plastic tab when cold with car on level ground, id be willing to bet your sensor is bad.

Are you sure your fluid is at the right level? Sounds to me like its close but just under the sensor on a hill but covers the sensor on level ground. Literally happened to my buddy's 335 last night. 8oz of coolant and all fixed.

The overflow tank level should be at the clear and black plastic seam when the car is cold, not hot.

Not yet... I check the coolant level every 2 days and the msg just pop when in the hill. If nothing serious I will just drive it as usual.

after the same happened to me a few times while parking on my driveway i had my buddy at his shop do a full coolant change on the car. have not has one message since then.

had that come up a couple times when at redlight at an incline. Went away when back to level grounds. I did check when i got home and coolant tank was full.

I have a bad oil level sensor and check my oil and its at the right level. Think at 10yrs old some of the sensors are starting to go bad.
