2001 E55 vs. 2000 S500 Sport
I've been looking at some E55s and today ran across a VERY clean S500 Sport at a great price and it was totally loaded(MSRP $91k) and decided to ck it out. I know it's a different car and a different purpose, and I've been a passenger in this car before but this was the first time to drive it...specifically to see how it felt vs. the E55.
The power I knew was going to be less obviously due to smaller/less powerful V8 and also it's in a heavier car, but what surprised me was that the ride was quite stiff - yet ironically it still didn't corner as well as the E55. As a daily driver, it would actually be much less comfortable than the E55 and it wouldn't be as fun or fast. I know the car is bigger...but I was very surprised at how stiff it was...I think perhaps even stiff than 740iL sport.
Any other impressions from guys here? Just curious.

My S500's suspension is also pretty stiff for a benz...I attribute it to the thin tires on the amg rims.
E55, smaller back seat, but newer and more exciting to drive DAMN I can't wait.
