old thread but am due for front/rear rotors and pads.... Kyle - saw these front and rear rotors on FCP site which come up as "IT FITS" for my 15 E63S 4matic / non-ceramic.

The fronts are Brembo @ $459/each and rears are Zimmerman @ $102 each.

Can you confirm 100% that these can be used as direct replacement for OEM rotors on 15 W212 E63S sedan 4matic non-ceramic brakes?

Wanted to confirm since there's been a rare few times when I've ordered from FCP and a part shows as "IT FITS" for a specific MB model but is actually incorrect (i've experienced this with FCP parts on MB cars which were different for 4-matic models vs RWD which the FCP site for some reason doesnt always specify the 4-matic fitment only)..

Let me know as I've not seen any front rotor options with Brembo aside from the OEM which are 800+ per rotor. Thx J

Feel free to PM me if you come across a fitment discrepancy in the future especially ones pertaining to 4M vs RWD so I can get it corrected. In reference to your rotors the Brembo two piece units you linked to are 110% plug and play, no modifications needed to function on your 63 S 4M.

Kyle, I am looking at the Zimmerman kit you have for my 2007 E63. I see many comments on this forum saying that you have to paint them or they will rust because they are not coated: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...-trw-c63p30fbk

Is that right? Do I need to paint them?

These rotors have a primer gray coating applied to them from the factory, same as OEM rotors. Overtime, they will start showing rust. It's better to buy some rustoleum spray paint from an autoparts store and just paint them.
When the brake pads make contact with the rotors, it will wear off the paint on the braking surface. But the rest of the rotor will be protected. I bought rotors that were already treated with a rust inhibitor. After after a year, they still look good. And if you look closely, you can still see the coating, especially on the rears.

Did you end up getting the two-piece rotors?

The specs appear to be identical to the OEM with the exception of ours being considered 1.5 piece rotors instead of 2-piece.

It seems the 1.5 made rotors are fitted to the AWD cars and the 2-piece to RWD only based on the fitment list.

QUESTION: Has anyone purchased and is using the 2-piece rotors for aggressive driving? My concern is the construction of the 1.5 is more robust for our AWD application.

Also, has anyone tried EBC Blue or Yellow on the W/S212 AMG?

I used these. They are the best deal out there. I paired with the Akebono Ceramic pads, as I didn't need anything too aggressive. If I was needing an aggressive pad I would look at Pagid.

To confirm: You are using the Brembo 2-piece rotors on an AWD E63S 2014+?
Which Akebono pad are you using? Part #?

Did you change out the rear rotors or pads as well?

This is on my 2003 E55.

Yes all pads and rotors.
