Car WONT turn off!
So heres a question. Had an issue with my car NOT turning off. As in key-out and everything off, except motor.
Tried cycling between key-in on/off, also keyless on/off.
Tried locking car and tried again.
Steering wheel would lock, but shifter would still work in all gears.
AFTER the problem presented itself, car displayed SRS, ESP,a nd pre-safe warnings.
Car turned off by itself after there was nothing I could do, problem hasn't arose since. Car has always been babied for the 6.5 years I've owned, garage-kept, no water leaks anywhere either...
Ummmm.. help?

I've seen this a couple times where the front Sam fuse box cover was left loose allowing water into the module and short circuits. Happens exactly how you describe it even with the warning lights. I forget which relay it is in that box but if you remove it then the engine will turn off.

I jumpered my AC compressor after replacement.
Went for a beer run and found the same phenomena. I suspect there is 12v shorted in the front sam if applicable.
Disconnect battery and unscrew the engine bay fusebox for an inspection.
If nothing is found start unplugging fuses one at a time. The ECU is receiving false input from an internal short in the harness or sub-system. Hopefully it is simple.
Cheers
