E63 really quiet start and ticking after not being started for a week+
So I just started it after about a week and a half of it sitting in the cold, and it was really, really quiet and had a ticking noise. Only drove it for less than a half a mile so i can't tell if it would've went away once it heated up. Should I be concerned? I mean I was expecting a loud cold start and got the complete opposite of that

I don't think this would have concerned me. Next time let it reach operating temp, check your oil level. If the oils good and sound goes away what's left to worry about?

Yes, check oil level first.
It MAY be ticking because the oil had drained all the way down to the bottom (since you haven't started it for a week) and things such as your hydraulic lifters don't have oil in them. It should go away once the oil gets to circulate.

Mine also does this even after sitting for just a few days. Seems to be worse in cold weather. Either way it goes away when the car gets to operating temp. I dont think it is anything to worry about
