Lowering module advice

Can someone shed some light on the difference between the renntech and programa lowering module? I understand that the renntech has the option for the car to return to a specified height at a certain speed and paying for branding. But other than that is the programa good enough at a way lower price?? I also come across the programa being sold from two different sites but one price is lower than the other. Has anyone bought from either of these sellers and would recommend one of them?

I ran an ELM from Programma and found they had very good customer service. Oddly enough, they never agreed to do a group buy for the forum. The Renntech V3 requires you hook up a device/tablet in order to adjust the settings.

I'm using the LoMo M1 with the quick connect harness, and it's the best by far. Can be installed in less than 10 minutes. Allows you to use the steering wheel controls to lower and raise the car. It also fully integrates with the Can network so that it goes to sleep with the car (no pwr consumption when you leave it parked - very important).

It also has the speed dynamics function that can raise the car back to stock above a certain speed, and then re-lower the car below that speed.

there is no difference between the 2. the renntech model is a programa module with their logo on it marked up. whichever version of renntech you look at there is the exact same module from programa available direct for a lower price.

Can you shed some more light on the difference between the two systems?
What make the LoMo worth the additional $1k in cost in your opinion?
Thank you.

The lomo at least won't work on an 03 SL, due to the can network being different. I know both the 03 SL & 03 E lack the central gateway found in 04+ models, so it is possible the lomo won't work on an 03 E either. I'd wait to hear someone else chime in that it for sure works if you have an 03 model & are looking at the lomo.

I would say the Lomo is the best just for its ease of install and because you can use the steering wheel controls to change settings. The Renn its cool because of the tablet feature but you need a tablet and you need to charge it every so often. The programa is the cheapest, install manual is not good at all, it will be confusing if you never done anything like it or if you are not to savy with cars.

If you can, go with Lomo.

Mind if I see what your car looks like on its lowest setting with the Lomo?

Thanks!

Per OCKlasse question, does either module go lower? I use to have the Programa on my 04 E55. It worked well, but looked cheap. It was installed by the previous owner, so I'm not sure how hard it is. Judging by the Renntech install on YouTube its not fun.

Has anyone reached out for a group buy? I need to get my CLS55 lowered.

I want to say that I read in another thread on here that they won't do group buys.

Look for a used one. I just bought one for $260 shipped off a member from here. He did a coil over swap and didn't need it anymore.
