Couple pics and a suspension squeak question
Nice day here is VA so took the car out. Finally gave her a good detail after the suvneer e63 front end, some PDR and paint correction. I have BC coilovers and I am getting a very annoying sqeak (see video). The coilovers are like new, clean and rustfree. I adjusted the preload to 4mm or the thickness of one spanner wrench. Where could this be coming from?

Dope whip and color combo with the wheels...
I have had mine on for about 2k miles and no issues... that would drive me nuts or drive me to turn the stereo way up :-/
Sounds like a damn drunk bird is in your car
Can you tell front or rear?
I have heard it has to do with the rears not being tightened enough in the shock tower and the bushings being loose squeeking. Or the spring seat needing to be plastidiped a few layer once removed (PITA)
How many miles are on the upgrade?
I dont know but I think it was Hulk possibly that gave the process to respray the rear springs and spring perches to stop the issue... I may be wrong not trying to call that fellow out he sure knows his stuff though.

The perch on the bc are diff than the Megans
The Megan perches can be sprayed with plastidip a few times and that will stop all squeaking once it's seated but for the bc coilovers you need to buy spring insulators from Mercedes and that will stop the squeaking

I ordered the isolators that Hulk recommended but I don't see any way they will work on the BC setup. I'll grab some pictures tonight and post to see if we can figure out where the disconnect is.

How to use the isolator pad
I think I figured out what Hulk was talking about. I took a closer look at the isolator I ordered (p/n 2113250584) and realized it's a multi-piece unit that is easily disassembled.
It's got a big plastic piece at the bottom that clips onto the OEM springs, but won't clip onto the BC Racing spring. However, there are four hard plastic disks and one soft rubber disk at the top:
That top piece will fit nicely onto the BC Racing hat and provide squeak-resistance, as Hulk said:

am I screwed? I assume they should both be the same?

I assume you’re talking about the rear coil spring isolaters? I peeled off the rubber topmost layer and used it. The rest of the layers are useless. So yes, if one of them was missing the rubber top layer then you will need to find another one.
