bleeding the heat exchanger question
An before anyone says search and goes off being a doushe .... I searched and the answer wasnt there. Im not a young punk Im a tech and been wking on cars for more than 24 years.
Now with that said heres my question I have installed a Bosch 010 pump and a VRP heat exchanger and wanted to bleed the system so i hooked up a clear hose and routed it to the reservoir. I started the car and let the car warm up and for quite some time didnt seem like the pump would start. it finally kicked on when the car was warm and the bubbles were flowing out. Let it run for 20 plus mins no longer did I get any big bubbles but it seemed lie i kept getting a small stream of very small bubbles ..... they NEVER stopped. I let it run for almost any hour with no change. Not leaking anywhere that I can find pump is going strong so I dont know if thats normal or not. Its a pretty solid stream of coolant/water.
So after an hr and 15 mins of running i stopped it and capped it off I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem or if its normal.

I've only gone through this process once myself, but the one time I did it it was clear when the air was out and it was a matter of minutes, very few of them. Granted, I shorted the relay to run the pump from the get go. But running pump is running pump.

Triple check for leaks. Maybe try a new run off hose plus clamp between the nipple and the reservoir? Beyond that, I should step aside as I'm really not qualified to be giving suggestions.

If it doesn't settle out, the pump will seem to keep chopping and aerating the fluid. I like to run the pump via jumping the relay or SDS, not bothering with the engine on. Run the pump for a few minutes, then off for a few minutes. You should get clean, clear fluid pretty quickly.

Did you clamp off the hose below the nipple so that most of it was forced through your clear hose?
