Yes there are a couple of places on the canterbury plains but otherwise not so much and the desert road in the north island is heavily guarded by police. There are always stretches of a few km perhaps dotted all over the place. Not like in Australia, "please carry enough fuel - next town 600km".

haha i live in a bush town on a junction of 5 highways. 100km in any direction to the next biggest towns (well with one exception). still plenty of highway patrol out here too...

Got that escort redline keeps the cops at bay. The south island is buggered from earthquakes the roads may be straight but they aint flat. Anything over 200 is bumpy af and 250 plus is too disconcerting....

Always interesting to hear how others do.

I don't generally like speeding, but in this car it's a) easy b) enjoyable and c) those Nevada roads are just asking for it. Won't be turning it into a habit, but it was fun to play.

Hey I saw a BRM wheel in the background of your vid. Aftermarket wheel for an AC VW. Any VWs in that garage?

Lots of various interesting cars come and go through that garage. Mike Dirnt's VW bus was made here and comes back here for maintenance.

Some "interesting" developments, won't be getting into it too much until I cut some more video.

But currently I am readjusting flares and giving the car to some very talented folks for a fancy little sum sum on the 13th.
Also heard from ECE, looks like they've developed a softer insert kit and I might be getting one to test out! This is wonderful news for everyone.

Sick edit! Drilling the first hole made me cringe but after that it was all good. New livery?
Interested in hearing about the softer ECE engine mounts.

Thank you kindly. They are ABS plastic, They deflect an impressive amount before snapping or getting damaged but melt very quickly under friction. Good deal though.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed! The flares are definitely controversial. This whole build is one big controversy, but I've been getting lots of love. Helps motivate work because some of this stuff is starting to get me. More on that soon.

Thank you for the love. It's appreciated right now, going through a rough patch.

On a somewhat related note, if you guys liked the sunny tune from the video, it's from DJ Dashcam who will be mentioned again in a subsequent episode.
Give him a follow on Soundcloud:
Or check out some recent releases on Traxsource, he's a swell human being and working hard to keep OG house music alive.
