I have an EC tcu on my car and to tell the honest opinion I dont notice anything at all ... if I had spent 600 bucks to have it done id be extremely upset. I got mine because I needed a new TCU mine had trans fluid contamination .... so when looking for a used one came across one tht was a eurocharged tuned TCU for the same price as any of the used ones I was finding. He had the receipt for it and i called EC and they verfied it so got it thinking hey lucked out. It works just fine but to be honest i dont notice anything .... maybe slightly quicker shifts other than that seems the same as the stock one before it went out.

I could be wrong; but i don't think you will notice that difference if you keep stock 2.65 with TCU tune,
i think 3.06 with TCU tune, will be much better..

My take is that the trans is slow on these cars no matter what. Some tuners raise the rev limiter so high that the butt dyno feels faster but it's just the rev limiter being high. Will it hurt the trans yes. I think just taking off the tq limiters is enough imo with a good ecu tune

I noticed another negative thing the new TCU seems to be a bigger PITA before Id turn off the ESP and it would interfere some but not as much. An now if im in S mode the steering wheel trans control will work before they didnt which i kinda liked cus I accidentally hit them from time to time. But I think I may have Anthony from Race IQ redo mine and take out the tq limiters and see if we can get the esp button to be more like the dyno mode.

in manual mode you notice a difference shifting before the rev limiter it doesn't have the 1 sec delay but it isn't instant either, but a lot more crisp. It also has the feature to use the paddles in any mode. When you hit the kick down and it holds a gear when you let off if you hit the upshift paddle it will shift up, instead of having to reach down and bump the shifter to the right.

I have a DTK V2 TCU in my car and i have no problems with it. Shifts seem firm and not laggy, im able to manual shift in any mode. i cant really compare with stock since my car came with this TCU in it when i bought it. It shifts around 6500 RPM. I heard the V1 shifted closer to 7K.

I had a TCU tune (not DTK, but from different vendor), and eventually my transmission started slipping and trans pan was eventually full of metal (despite changing trans fluid only 3K miles earlier).
I replaced transmission, went back to stock TCU tune, and car was then reliable again.
There's a reason the TCU has torque limits in place, and removing them is at your own risk.
