Opinions wanted H/E questions
So I have a VRP H/E on the car with a bosch 010 pump. I wanted to go the way of killer chiller but not wanting to have to have the AC on and elminate my H/E. So gunna pass on that here in Ut we have all 4 seasons and this is a daily driver ... fall time we avg 55-70 degrees .... winter teens-35 .... spring 55-75 degrees and then summer we have temps in the low to mid 90s on our hot days for a couple monthes. So gunna keep the front mount H/E but am looking for the best one out there. So heres 2 that seem better than most others ... http://www.projectb5.com/product/dtk...heat-exchanger and http://www.projectb5.com/product/pb5...hanger-upgrade. As for cores I did some measurements of VRPs and it looks like without end tanks its 27x6x3 which VRP claims almost 2L which seems pretty good. The DTK one claims 3L and the core for the ProjectB5 is 25x7x3.5 doesnt give a volume but if you plug it into here gives a rough estimate https://www.sensorsone.com/length-wi...me-calculator/ plugging in VRPs you get a volume of 7.9L ( i know its not accurate but gives an idea) plug in Projectb5s and you get 10.03L now I dont know the size of the core in DTKs but thinking bout switching to the Projectb5 front mount. Anyone using one and if so thoughts

You already have a good h/e. Why not just add the vrp aux h/e

Meth/water injection = slow the rising IAT problem that occurs
Heat Exchanger(s) = offer a band-aid to cool off the heat reducing liquid after the problem has occurred
*Not saying a larger or additional volume heat exchanger is bad* The problem should be resolved at its root
If multiple 1/4 mile pulls are done back to back to back then a trunk ice tank should be added to increase volume to lessen recovery time
I would nip the problem in the bud and think you will see loads more improvement adding meth, rather than an additional cooler

we tested it, it sucks. not only does it weigh more than the titanic on the bottom of the ocean, it has a TINY fluid capacity, the fins are also very thick which means they have very poor heat transfer. It also pushes your bumper down giving your car a fat lip look. we logged a run before and after that core and we dropped overall temps and recovery time.
Have you checked out our Bay tanks? they may be the best simple solution for you. you already have the beast HE on the market. size isnt everything.

Yeah I am probably going with meth and a bay tank dont need the killer chiller and dont want to put in a trunk mount so these 2 solutions should have it covered

Two ebay coolers for me custom made twin pass. One in stock location with oil cooler removed due to size.Custom cooler behind driver fog light,no more fog light, single pass cooler under supercharger, two pumps,VRP under hood tank. No issues. Would like to try meth though.

+1 on Meth... I am just injecting mostly distilled water as of now and seeing a huge difference
DO3 on SC snout and DO7 on flat pad under the intercooler that sprays just post intercooler.
I mean if you are taking it off and apart why not just drill and tap two holes right...?

Well right now our temps are at 55-65 so say at 65* a red line 3rd gear pull will be at 80* tops. I hope to do a full 3 and 4th to red line on Sunday to test for my track event day which will be a 60 mph roll than a timed 1/2 mile I just have to finish up my larger fuel line from the tank.....yea....decided to just do it. I do like to reinvent the wheel some times, LOL and everybody runs the stock line but I just do not like it and a larger line will hurt nothing. That's just me though.

Here are our test results from the track,
run one is Frozen boost HE
run 2 is VRP v2
Run 3 is VRP V2 with the superflo added
run 4 is VRP v2+ secondary HE + superflo
the secondary HE reduces recovery times pretty dramatically, that particular run had an extra big burnout, so our starting temps were quite a bit higher, we will go back out and retest that run-to-run when we test our new IC
but just wanted to show the difference in the V2 and the Frozen boost.

our core weighs in at about 7lbs, and the frozen boost has to be 20+
All HEs we ship out are either V2s or V3s
We just got our first Single pass IC in for testing today, a bolt in meth kit is tough if you want to spray post blower pre sensor, the only way to do that is to remove the SC and tap the Intercooler, although we have a Throttle body plate that you can add a nozzle to for pre blower.
the single pass units will be available as soon as testing is completed at the end of next week, we have 3 units ready to go.
The other IC project we cant really talk about yet, although I can tell you the design and 1/2 of the manufactured pieces are complete so it should only be a few more weeks til we see a piece we can test

We dont sell the frozen boost core, thats what PB5 and FTP are selling.
