I opened my oil cap after a week of sitting at the dealership and found milky oil on the cap. So I drove it hard yesterday see if it would clean itself out. Check it again this morning found small traces of milky oil on the cap. It has been raining in California.

is this a head gasket or condensation?
should I replace the oil even though it only has 3k miles?

 

That does not look like a problem. Once you drive it more it will go away.

 

Agreed, drive more and heat will evaporate the moisture... you would know your gasket was blown by the way it is running. If it doesn't run like a turd do not worry

 

Boosted and Shardul are correct ....and we see this at the dealer all the time, mostly winter and short driving.

Take a car on a drive 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours, this will give your oil time to get nice and hot, and will burn off any condensation that exists in the oil.
