E55 flexfuel!
http://catcandoracing.weebly.com/sponsors.html
The system is designed and built right here in the USA. It's more expensive than the the other system because it is a complete plug-n-play solution. Nothing to wire, just hook up a ground. It's not a bag of pieces and a hodge-podge of parts from China. It works perfectly and reliably every time. Everything is solid state so that there is nothing to break.
Over ten thousand hours of bench simulation has also been done.
The beauty of the system is like Travis said... it performs an extremely simple function, based on what is essentially a math equation. It consumes far less than one amp under max effort. It doesn't generate any meaningful heat. You can equate the "box" to a calculator... I have a calculator on my desk that's from the early 90's... it's never failed and I don't ever expect it to fail - because of it's job.
I know that after I say this, I'll get all the Cheap-o's saying things like "well why does it cost that much if it's just a calculator?"
Well, why do people pay $1,000-$4,000+ for some metal tubes that are welded together? Why do people pay thousands of $$ to have people polish and coat their cars? Why do people spend $5,000+ on wheels? Why do people spend any amount of money on anything? What gives things value?
Without getting too far off topic... this system WILL make more power than longtube headers or really any other single mod you can do... and the more power you have - the more power you'll get. Did an '03 SL55 the other day... Mods: Tune, 83mm, Flex, 550cc... Car makes 500whp/544wtq. That is with FACTORY log manifolds and all FACTORY exhaust, cats and all.
Before the Flex it made 464whp/510wtq... same day, same time... just put E85 in the tank (which was actually only about 72%)... that's a 36whp/34whp increase with ZERO tuning changes. Travis also said it takes 30 minutes to install!
I'm looking forward to seeing Travis' car on the dyno.
Thanks
Dave
Not knocking the product but real world is diff than a dyno
Let's have same day 1/4 runs that will tell the diff with no tuning

A lot of C63 guys and other M156 guys have it, and love it. A few track guys also who run @ COTA, TWS have experienced (besides an average of 25-30 degree drop in oil temp on-track) lower lap times after switching.
We'll get some track times/speeds
But I think it's worth mentioning (and not being critical of you Hulk) that if someone did a before and after on longtubes, and picked up similar power, the accepted outcome would be a higher trap speed without it going to the track. They would FEEL the difference. Thanks!
Dave
The stock blower can, and does, and will continue to... If ya don't know, I guess ya don't know.

Thanks
Dave
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Oil analysis still looks good and it's running strong. We'll see - what happens, obviously I'm not looking to grenade a motor, but this is the fun stuff.
Thanks
Dave
I don't buy your claims on those numbers not on a stock blower ,if you want to pop in and say ok we made a mistake it was a whipple ,then yes I believe it .
The stock blower can't do it ,not even with a genies help!!let me see it runing on the dyno with that number on the screen after the pull or a track pass .Till then I'll be eating popcorn waiting with hulk.p

seriously though - some guy on the C63 promised he'd eat his shoe a couple months ago. Surprise surprise after he was proven wrong time and time again, he refused to eat his shoe... SMH
I'll do you one better - Why don't you fly out here, you can inspect the car on the lift to make sure there is nothing fishing going on, then I will let you inspect the dyno, we can even baseline a car of your choice, say the rental you'll be in. Heck, we can baseline a couple cars until you are satisfied that the dyno is reading and operating to your satisfaction. Then I will allow you to run the E55 on the dyno, proving it makes the power I promised it would.
If it doesn't I will pay your round trip airfare, the rental car, your hotel, and even a couple hundred spending money.
****IF**** it does make the power I claim, you eat your shoe, i film it, and you become an internet sensation overnight.
Deal?
Where u at son??
Dave

Looking forward to getting the results on Travis' E55!
Thanks
Dave

There are ****ing a couple dozen thousand 55 engined cars. There are about half a dozen thousand e55s.
ANY freaking development that can help the platform should be welcomed with open rational arms.
Jesus this place.
Once this is adding the 30% ratio of fuel to the car through the calculated increase of injector duty cycle, are we also increasing timing a bit with a tune on the ecu?
Or are we just leaving that for safety?
I feel I made a perfectly reasonable offer for him to satisfy all his doubts, and I was being 100% serious. It's the difference between talking out your bung, and knowing something...
Anyhow, I'll keep advancing stuff for y'alls benefit, well some of y'all at least.

Fuel lids/drop in pump retrofits are coming soon... Which reminds me, if you have a spare set of old pumps/baskets, send em' over. PM me if you want to send a set.
Thanks
Dave

yall's ,it's over yonder on to the dyno .
. just wanted a video and you got your panites in a bunch .it was just very odd no one really else is making these gains .Back to the thread on the other guy..Younshould dyno your car and see your gains

It's just who you are...Tale as old as time (yes, I recently went to Beauty and the Beast with the wife)
One week to go -
