I need a new car. Im wondering if I should get the GST. I love the way it looks and love the features. I just need something to take the whole family in and have plenty of space to do it in. I was thinking S55, new ML, or GST. Im all for the GST BTW. Any opinions.

lets say 7 people. Were Indian, so lets see 4 of us, 2 grandparents, and 1 great grandmother. Not all go in the same car everywhere. But we have a Minivan right now. Honda Oddysey and it works, but the GST is much more appealing than the new Oddysey coming out next year.

I don't see how you can compare a S55 with a GST or ML. But it seems as though you've already made the decision, lol.

In my opinion, a minivan can't be beat as a people hauler. First its big inside, second, those giant sliding doors make is easy to get in and out of it. Third, the competition is hot in the minivan market and each manufacturer is duking it out feature for feature to try and get us to buy their minivan. We as consumers win the war. I don't know if you've seen the new Odyssey but it looks to be better in every way. It even has the cylinder deactivation, which MB is also going to offer if rumors are correct.

What is a GST. I did a search on the net, and all I get is "General Sales Tax".

Grand Sport Tourer. The new Ody is pretty impressive from what I've heard. We own the current one an '02 EX with Nav and Leather, pretty good hauler like Norb said. Here's some info on the next one:
HondaGreen from TOV Forums posted the following:

My 2005 Odyssey Review

Driving: The van had great pickup. I was able to get
the tires to screech pulling out. Took corners extremely well, suspension gave a
smooth ride. The engine produces 255HP/250 lb of torque and could definitely be
felt. The VCM was unnoticeable, except for the ECO light being on. The
VCM(variable cylinder management) model will get 20 city/28 highway, while the
others remain at 18/25.

Exterior: Honda wanted to make the car attractive to
the younger buyer as well, so they gave it a much more aggressive look with
European styling. More chrome to the grill, and larger tires. (Touring model has
18” tires.)
The exterior was also designed for safety. Besides using
ACE(advanced compatibility engineering body structure) construction that spreads
any crash impact more evenly throughout the frame, it is more compatible with
smaller cars. So in an impact with a small car, both drivers will be safe.
The
sliding door’s windows go partially down, and it knows not to open when the fuel
door is open. When a window is open the door will not go all the way back to
prevent catching arms that are hanging out the window. The door also was very
responsive to pressure, I put my fingers in the door jam and it backed off.
Interior/Features:

Navigation: Display is huge. Now has 600 voice commands. You
can input street, and city, by voice commands as well. By either speaking the
name, or by spelling them out. It has a calendar, calculator, and Zagat
restaurant guide. The screen motors down at the push of a button for the loading
of the 6 disc CD player behind it.

RES: Screen has been enlarged to 9”. Remote
control pops out of DVD player for wireless control. Very nice picture as well.
Headphones automatically turn off when ear pieces rotate.

MID: MID is the new
info display under the speedometer that customizes the settings of the car. The
settings range from when doors will unlock, to display brightness. The setting
are remembered according to the key fob used to unlock the car. Also last
temperature settings of the HVAC are remembered as well. Maintenance minder
system keeps lets you know when oil change or maintenance needs to be performed.
It uses data (speed, outdoor temperature, mileage) collected when driving to
determine oil life.

VSA- (vehicle stability assist) keeps van straight when
over or under steering on turns.

Magic Seat third row- seats drop into floor
with almost no effort. Absolutely amazing.

2nd row center seat- pops out, or
drops into floor, EX and EX-L only. Lazy susan in floor when seat is not
stored. Comes on EX, EX-L, Touring.

Other Features:
-conversation mirror EX,
EX-L , Touring
-Homelink
-heated seats
-key fob puts windows down
-adjustable
petals
-power lift gate EX, EX-L, Touring
-3 zone climate control (auto on
touring, manual on EX, EX-L)
-trip computer.(average mpg, average speed)
-run
flat tires Touring
-tire pressure monitoring system -Touring
-XM radio included
with nav.
-360 watt 7 speaker audio system -Touring
-rear view camera (standard
with NAV)
-sunshades on sliding doors EX, EX-L, Touring
-Auto Day Night Mirror
Touring
-Leather Steering Wheel Touring
-Power Seats w/ memory Touring
-ETC(electronic throttle control) “fly by wire” all models
-side curtain airbags
–standard

There are just too many features to list. This van is going to
dominate the competition.
