E63 AMG 2006 / Service History
Hello Everyone,
I am a new member at this forum, although, I have been a guest for a long-time reading and browsing topics.
Yesterday, I found a 2006 E63 at a dealer here in Perth, WA with 99,000 km on the clock. Very nice and very clean.
Having had a close look at the service history, the car previous owner(s) serviced the car every 18,000 km or less, but, the interval between each service was at least 20-24 months.
The period between every service raised a flag, I am not an AMG expert, but as far as I know the car should have had its service done at least once a year, isn't it?
Please let me know whether the delayed service period could potentially be bad for a high performance car as the AMG?
Finally, for an additional fee of $2,300 the dealer is able to provide a 3-year extended warranty with the sale.
Your thoughts are appreciated.

The devil is in the details but the warranty would be a no brained on the face of it (wow three trite idioms in one sentence). I personally would not be concerned by the interval between services. Is the car a Canadian delivery car? These cars have a known fuel tank/pumps/filters issue with an extended warranty if US delivery. PPI is always recommended, the systems on these cars are complex and maintenance/repair prone. I very much enjoy my E63.

I think WA stands for Western Australia and not Washington State.
No issue with the extended intervals between services. Do pay the extra $2300 for the extended warranty. Be advised by the time you hit 160,000 km you can expect to in for rebuild of several subsystems (suspension, motor/trans mounts, flex discs, air suspension, spark plugs/wires, belts/pulleys, etc, etc, etc, ad infinitum). Even with a warranty, be prepared to pay to play.
