Can someone tell me what this vacuum line is for?
Can anyone please tell me what this vacuum line is for & where the other end of it goes? The picture is from the backside of the engine bay by the throttle body.The picture is not of my car, someone else posted it somewhere.
The reason I ask is I recently had the header gaskets replaced & when I got my car back I had some misfiring/stumbling. I popped the hood thinking it was a vacuum leak & sure enough the vacuum hose pictured is gone, I can't find it anywhere. I'd like to know where the other end goes to so I can atleast have the Mercedes dealer order me one (I just tried to order it & the parts guy wouldn't help me unless I told him what it's for "because it's like finding a needle in a haystack
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Well now I feel stupid. I just put my finger on it to feel any vacuum & couldn't so there's that mystery solved.
Codes say I have a misfire on cylinders 1, 3 and 4. Weird thing is I had the driver side header gaskets replaced & haven't touched the passenger side. Back to square one!
