My 06 E55 Headlight Cover Replacement Pics....
Was a little nervous removing the old headlight covers... as they were not too bad. Also these are the Active Curve headlights which are a MINT to replace. Cheapest New I can find for the pair is $1400... well with the new E63 Bumper and paint being done I had to replace the Headlight covers. Knock on wood it all went pretty smooth. One down one to go! See Pictures below:

Can you share the part numbers and where you got them? I have a new headlight assembly going in on one side so I figured I'd do just the lens on the other side.

I've got some ebay lenses sitting in my garage waiting to go on now too.
Have you put any protection on the lenses? My worry is these chinese lenses are unprotected and will fade in a few months.
Second, I've seen people manage to re-use the existing glue. Did you have to replace yours? Was that out of necessity or preventative?
Thanks.

The rubber butyl seal from Amazon

Before installing then I had Xpel Ultimate installed to protect from damage and any UV discoloration.

I just installed the new covers, they look great and install was easier than expected. Just beware there's a plastic chrome surround inside the old lenses that need to come out and gets installed in the new lens. (I noticed it after I put one headlight back together)
