How can I tell if my car has been tuned?
I bought a 2009 E63 back in June.
Since I brought it home, I discovered the secondary cats are gone, and the resonators are gone.
I also discovered K&N air filters in the boxes when I checked to see if the charcoal filters were still there. The charcoal filters where there... not any more, though.
Since I don't have any check-engine lights with the missing charcoal filters, I was thinking maybe someone has tuned this vehicle.
I contacted Eurocharged, and they didn't have any records for my VIN. They told me that I could send them my PCM, if I wanted them look it over.
Is there a way to download the flash contents without buying an expensive tuner package or sending my PCM away?

only way to tell is dyno with air fuel readings. or try to drive past 165mph and see if it'll keep climbing. my car prior to ECU tune could go 165mph and further but it would accelerate really slowly around 165mph.
don't recommend you drive fast...just dyno your car.

Does EC update their tune files or something? Complete noob on how that works but I do have an EC tune on my E55 installed, do you have to look out for updates from time to time?

If you haven't done further mods on the car then leave the tune as is, no need to retune... When you start adding more mods for power then look at a new tune
