Horrible buzzing in rear shelf when I play heavy bass
Okay so I have a struggle...
I bought a FIIO Alpen 2 headphone amp and I'm using it with the w211 aux cable my car came with. Huge improvement in sound, however, I have a problem where that rear sub I'm assuming is making a loud buzz rattle sound on that shelf in the rear. I sat in the back to hear what's going on and put my hand pressing on the shelf but the rattle didn't go away.
Has anybody had this problem before?

Long story short,
The factory eq curve varies by volume level. When you turn up the volume, the amount of bass is reduced. That is why it sounds better with the headphone amp. So basically you're overdriving the woofer with too much bass eq. This is compounded if you are using any bass boost on your phone.

If it's rattling due to distortion well then yes, you know... If it's rattle from vibration in the car and you trying to find it... My car with external sub in the trunk amplified makes my interior headliner rattle.. So turn up the music and sit in the back seat, push up on the headliner behind the sun roof, basically towards the back of the car and see if that solves it?

take the small "external" part of the rear shelf off. the one thats on middle, pops right off sub is under.. pretty sure the speaker has come loose. you can glue it back with epoxy. just let it cure properly. this happened to me
