new owner
hello, new pewter e55 owner here...will try and post pics later, but have added 19" BBS wheels, Carlsson lowering module, and a few exterior tweaks (grill, removed the hood ornament, etc). The car handles great in this setup, comparable to my previous e39 M5 except for steering response, although I haven't yet pushed the merc real hard.
Does anyone have experience with the Kleeman engine modifications? What other engine tuners are out there for this car? It appears Kleeman only adds 50 or so hp which seems to be a small increase for a turbocharged car, just a chip and exhaust on my 996TT added 100+ hp and substantially more torque.
Thanks,
mc

2002 E55, Brilliant Silver/Charcoal and Grey, All option except Parktronic.
Nice choice in automobiles. I have an 05 on order and I thought of turning my 02 in for a Porsche, either a 4s or a turbo. With respect to the modifications, one could look at Renntech as well, hp=$$$ so I am sure that you can find the improvements that you are looking for. I look forward to seeing your pictures.

Hi, try Brabus......
Your car sounds beautiful, congratulations!!!
Brabus does some mods on these cars, though not a huge boost in power, you may want to check them out. Not sure, but I think chips are much more effective on turbos as opposed to S/C cars, maybe a smaller pulley etc may help as well?

I'm stuck with my measly ML55 for a while, so I can dream of wishing to boost power on an E55. Good luck and enjoy the ride

BBS WHEELS
Excellent look and sizing on those wheels. They are 19" but what is the width of the wheels and did you need any fender modification to accomodate them?

To MJC123:
Compliments on your rim and tire set-up. I was not interested to drop my factory set-up UNTIL I SAW YOURS!! It is by far the most outstanding look I have seen to date! I know others have asked, but what is the exact rim size :
for example - 19 x 10 rear with 38mm Pos. offset
19 x 9 front with 30mm Pos. offset
I'm only guessing but it should be close to that.
BTW - What "style" BBS wheels are those?
Again - the set-up is First Class all the way/Top Shelf!!
