I love every minute im in that car. i have an 04' with pretty much every option and package on it. My trunk closer died on me this morning , but nothing major wrong with the car. Its fast, it truly is a beast on the road. It just wants to eat everything on the road. If there are any changes to the 05' that are significant, youcan bet ill be trading mine in for a new one, with all the pakcages and options as I have right now. Go get one, what are you waiting for.

I just got my JD Power initial quality survey today and I don't have anything to check off that has gone wrong in the last 3 months.

I haven't heard anything that would make me regret getting an 04 or want the 05, but if you wait a while to order, you might be getting an 05 anyway.

power- 100% satisfied.
Quality- 80% satisifed. I had problem with alignment and SBC noise.
Handling and brake feel- 0%.
Navigation- 0%. Sorry, I need a nav that would allow me to input exact address not a range.

Overal 70% satisfied

Only problems I've had with my 04 were with the Command system. They were fixed by the dealership and they threw in a free oil change for my troubles. I find it to be a car that you love at first, and then it grows on you day by day. If a roomy sedan is what you want, there is no better all around package than this car. The speed is the thing though. There is something about such effortless and relentless acceleration in a big sedan that just constantly satisfies.

Phenomenal - sure there are little quirks - nothing's perfect. But that feeling on the road that you OWN it is unbelievable

My opinion, by far, the best performance sedan ever made.

Saber you would be really impressed with it if you ever learn how to drive it. I can beat you with my Winnebago the way you drive!

2004 E55 is by far the best 4-door sedan money can buy. For most of us who don't track their car, this car is so so hard to beat. You can take clients out in the day and blow by almost any car out there when you are alone. You can take kids out on the weekend with car seats in the back with room to make a Costco run. And at the same time, enjoy the luxury of the car.

I really don't know what the fuss is about the brakes. I actually like them alot. The only major compaint is the echo in the phone.

I am already thinking about my next car, and I am concerned that the next E55 might not be as fun to drive because of less torque. Most of the time, you can really enjoy the car from light to light just slightly pressing the pedal until about 3500 rpm and still blow away everything in sight. I would hate to think I would have to wind it up higher to still have the same enjoyment.

E55 = 98% satisfaction
1% for the phone
1% always can use more power

Since the winter ended and I got the Conti's on, I've been doing alot of aggressive cornering. Forgetting about comparisons to BMW's or Porsche's and just checking out the handling after loving all the other aspects of the car, I'm quite pleased with it. This is not just a point and go sedan. As an aside, I can't believe how great the feel of the wood steering wheel from Autowerks is. Best $1,500 I ever spent.

I think the only people who will likely be disappointed with the E55 are those who don't do their homework.
I know exactly what I want out of a car, and the E55 matched my want list perfectly.
I've been 100% satisfied.
Know its strengths and weaknesses before you buy.

Now dealership issues are another story entirely. No wonder my dealer avoids sending out satisfaction surveys (no contacts at all in 6 months of ownership).
