E55 Vs S600
I did some searching for this on the site and just can't seem to find it anywhere. In a match head to head, E55 vs S600, what would win as an overall better car? (Both are stock 2004).
MB claim the E55 does a 0-60 in 4.5 while the S600 does it in 4.6. Is this true?
BTW, BMW is behind the times and behind the technology they had a good thing going and then they just destroy it with I-Drive and the new look. Give me a 2001 740IL or M5 over the new 2005 M5 or 2004 745 any day.

The S600 is for old guys who want to embarras young guys in Camaros and the E55 is for younger guys who want to embarras poorer guys in their Camaros. Neither S600 nor E55 would embarras the other.

The S and E really do appeal to different groups, and by and large you'll find that age difference distinguishes the 2 groups.
Despite both being 4 door sedans, the 2 cars drive differently, and the E55's primary weakness (unwieldiness) is even more problematic in the S600. On the other hand, if you need to make an "S statement", the S600 makes that statement loud and clear.
