Any way to clear check engine light myself?
I changed out my mass air flow unit, do I need to go to the dealer and have them clear the code or can I do it myself somehow?

Clearing the code is only half the process. You'll still have to reset the fuel trim adaptations, or the light will come right back on.

The reason I asked is I threw a trim code that I cleared and it has not come back.
I am going to tune the MAF with a Split Second unit this weekend and I want to make sure I am running with the correct mapping as it stands.
I can't take this car to the dealer here...

Does anyone have any contacts in the Cincinnati, OH Area to do this job? My CEL just turned on last week, then went off for 3 days & now its back on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like the same thing that happened to me, most likely its your mass air flow sensor. Don't send it in to have it fixed it will only take you 15 minutes to do it yourself and its quite simple. If your car is under warranty then obviously have it done but if not save yourself some cash and do it yourself and after you sweap them out the light will clear itself. Good luck and give me a buzz if you have any questions 309-251-9096 Caesar.
