Hi all. Looking to replace my front and rear flex discs, and I'm wondering if anyone's been using the Febi brand flex discs for any significant amount of time. Looks like there's pretty much two reasonable brands to choose from in this department-- Febi for about $130 each or Genuine Mercedes for about $270 each. I know Febi can be hit or miss depending on the exact part you're talking about, so would appreciate input from anyone who's used these on their E55 or E63 (or really, any W211 I guess). The thought of dishing out $550 for these is making my eyes water a bit. Thanks.

Those Febi red and white boxes contain factory flex disks, with Mercedes logo and part number scratched off with dremel, I used them in my W140, R129 and R230 over 12+ years span, and many for clients and friends; never had a problem.

As an added bonus, you get a new set of bolts, whereas, with dealer units, you have to buy them separate.

Thanks so much! Asked a couple of vendors if they had any info on where the Febi ones were sourced, and unfortunately they didn't have a clue. Going to give them a shot though based on your experiences.

Correct, if this is confusing to anyone, FCP Euro did an awesome write-up on this:

You can also see Febi appear on the OE chart for VAG.

Yeah I have a set of the FEBI ones waiting in my toolbox to go in my CL, they are identical to the OEM ones, but less than half the price, even at employee cost.
