Coilover Ride height question.

Recently just did the strutmaster conversion kit, but the rear section is too low for my taste. What can be done to adjust the ride height by at least 1.5in off the ground?

Isn't it a fixed height kit? Maybe a spacer of some type at the shock mount area? 1.5 inches is a long way to go without an adjustable coilover. Do you have pics?

I think the rear looks good. Just need to drop the front another inch or so.

This is without any weight in the car. It drops down further with weights in the car by 1 - 2 in, so I'm trying to raise the height by another 1.5in in the back.

it looks lower than others who have installed that kit -- I would prefer it raised up an inch more also -- did it settle after a month of driving or was it like that day 1. -- I was looking into these at one point and thought if it sat to high I could throw them on a lathe and turn down the bottom aluminum base to the desired height -- now just the opposite
call the company maybe they have a shim kit to raise it

A true "coilover" is adjustable. The preload can be added by tightening down the ring to make the ride lower, or back off the ring to make it ride higher. If they have no adjustments you are stuck.

I just looked up the "kit", although I dont see one for a E63 it looks like they might have sold you the wrong springs. If yours includes Eibach you can find part numbers that they can look up and tell you if you got the wrong one.

That looks really low in the rear for that kit. Probably wrong springs.

I called them back, and let them know my concern, but was told by the tech that because I have an after market wheels and not the stock wheels, it will make it look low like that. I emailed them the same exact picture too. It doesn't make sense to me though. Stock wheels will even make it much lower. I just need a kit to lift it up a bit.

I'm not familiar with that kit but can you put factory spring pads to get more height? How does the top mount?

I installed my KW kit (and the control arm conversion) as it came, but the conversion kit put together was missing the factory spring perch rubber shims/seats. So I am currently maxed out on the rear height adjustment as well.

Now, those pads traditionally (and also in this case) come in multiple sizes. The tallest one is I believe the sizes are 5mm, 13mm, 17mm and 21mm. I currently have 13mm and 21mm pairs in the mail. Check out EPC for part numbers.

If I remember correctly, fronts 25 in and rear 26 in from the ground to the highest part of the fenders.
